Could you be one of our static collection tin coordinators?

We need someone to raise funds by the distribution, collection and maintenance of static collecting tins within the local Branch or Group area.

The MND Association has over 90 branches and groups across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, all run entirely by volunteers who work together in many different ways to provide support, raise awareness, influence, and fundraise at a local level.

Role Description

What does this role involve?

  • To follow Association guidelines and comply with charity law on the use and monitoring of static collection tins for a local branch or group
  • To distribute, collect and maintain static collecting tins in the local community
  • To contact local businesses to find suitable locations for static collecting tins
  • To deliver static collection tins to the agreed locations and ensure necessary paperwork is completed
  • To keep accurate records of where static collecting tins are located
  • To collect and bank the funds collected in line with Association guidelines.

 

 

Ideal Skills

  • Good organisation and communications skills
  • Good numerical skills
  • Accurate and reliable administrative skills

You don’t need personal experience of MND but will have good communication skills, happy talking to members of the public and the desire to help!

This is an excellent opportunity to develop skills and get involved with your local community. You will gain experience of fundraising along with the opportunity to increase your knowledge of Motor Neurone Disease in order to raise awareness confidently. 

Time commitment: Approximately 2-3 hours a week including the willingness to attend some committee/ planning group meetings.

Full training and induction will be provided and travel expenses will be reimbursed.
