Social Media Coordinator (Volunteer) Derbyshire

We are looking for a Social Media Co-ordinator to be responsible for the management of the Derbyshire Group’s social media platforms and the development of their social media network. This is a an exciting opportunity to promote the group and build social media from the ground up. We welcome applications from people that are social media savvy and able to create and share new content as well as provide analytics for engagement.

What’s involved?

  • Providing an online presence for the Derbyshire Groups activities and support groups
  • Attending 6 weekly committee meetings online 
  • Searching for and posting appropriate content 
  • Monitoring and responding to direct messages 
  • Moderating the groups social media pages 

This role will suit me if I:

  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Am social media savvy
  • Happy to work independently
  • Have a good understanding of tone-appropriate social media content 
  • Have a warm, friendly and empathetic manner
  • Have an understanding of MND and its impact on families, or a willingness to learn

How flexible is the role?

The role is very flexible and the average volunteering per week would be approx 1 hour. It would also be  beneficial if you are able to attend some group committee meetings to update them on your activity. This would be an online meeting. 

What sort of training/induction will I receive before starting?

You’ll be inducted into the role and informed about the Association. As part of this, you will receive e-learning, and mentoring. The training programme will also include experiential and reflective learning.
